João Galamba’s former deputy, Frederico Pinheiro, is heard this Wednesday before the TAP inquiry committee about a preparatory meeting with former airline executive president Christine Urmier-Widener ahead of the parliamentary economy committee hearing in January.
Frederico Pinheiro accused the infrastructure ministry of trying to hide the documents requested by the parliamentary commission of inquiry from TAP. Minister Joao Galamba denied the allegations.
After Frederico Pineiro was rehabilitated, he turned to the Ministry of Infrastructure, attacked employees and stole a laptop. The Security Information Service (SIS) was eventually notified that this computer was recovered.
After controversy, Minister João Galamba resigned, but Prime Minister António Costa did not accept it.
