Al-Hazem, who was trained by Filipe Gouvea, achieved promotion to the top echelon of Saudi Arabia. The Portuguese coach’s team needed to secure promotion simply by winning a point in matchday 32 against Al Sahel. However, the team led by Filipe Gouveia won 3-2 and celebrated the ascent in the city of Al Rass, in their stadium and with their fans.
Antonio Filipe de Sousa Gouveia was born in Massarelos on May 12, 1973 (aged 50). He began his coaching career at Boavista in the 2010/11 season, going through seniors at that time. For the next two seasons, he was an assistant coach at the Académica. In later years he played in Salgueiros, Santa Clara, Sp. Covilhã and Leishoins. In the 2019/20 season, he started a cycle in Saudi Arabia which took him to Al Jabalain, Al Taawon and Al Hazm. In the 2021/2022 season, he headed Vilafrancense (II League).
