Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmitry Kuleba spoke to reporters on Friday after meeting with his Portuguese counterpart Joao Gomes Cravinho and noted that he would thank Portugal for the support provided to Ukraine only when the country wins the war.
“John [Gomes Cravinho] shared with me how the position of Portugal has evolved and I really appreciate it,” Kuleba said when asked about Portugal’s contribution to the country captured by Russia.
“Don’t get me wrong, but the US and Portugal, any country, I will always say that enough was done after the victory. If Ukraine wins, I will say: “Thank you very much, you did enough for us to win.” (…) I appreciate any support, whether it comes from the US or Portugal. I appreciate both sides’ support equally, but it may not be enough until we win. Again, I’ll let you know when wins “thank you very much, I’m very grateful.” Don’t get me wrong, but we are at war,” the Ukrainian Foreign Minister said.
