Unemployed couples with both elements fell 7.1% year-on-year in April, down 3% from the previous month, according to data released this Monday by the Institute for Employment and Vocational Training (IEFP).

According to the IEFP, citing the continent’s employment services, unemployment “decreased by 4.8% compared to the same period last year and by 3.5% compared to the previous month,” and “in relation to the total number of unemployed, married or de facto union situation, there is a decrease of 4.8% (-5,830 unemployed) compared to April 2022 and a decrease of 2.7% (-3,232) compared to March 2023.”
