Zaporozhye NPP is again on alert. According to the Ukrainian intelligence services, Moscow is preparing a new attack directly on the territory of the center, “a large-scale provocation in the coming hours.”
“Subsequently, a catastrophic release of radioactive substances will be announced. Responsibility for the incident, of course, will be assigned to Ukraine,” the FSB said in a statement (Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation)quoted by Kyiv Independent.
The purpose of this provocation is “to encourage the international community to conduct a detailed investigation, during which all hostilities will cease,” which will allow Russian forces to regroup and prevent Ukraine from launching a successful counteroffensive.
