Pedro Proenza, who has chaired the Club League since 2015, called Thursday “the first day of a new era in professional football” after being re-elected for another four years to the body, vowing to repay his trust.
Minutes after the General Assembly of the Portuguese Professional Football League (LPFP) announced his re-election, Pedro Proenza issued a statement suggesting a moment of change.
“Today is the first day of a new era in professional football. After eight years of great trials and many achievements, the sports societies have once again contributed to a project that I trust to guide the destinies of the LPFP in the four year period of 2023. -27,” said Proenza, quoted in the said communiqué.
