Man arrested for child sexual abuse in Caldas da Rainha

On Tuesday, the judicial police arrested a man for sexually abusing his son in Caldas da Rainha.

The 36-year-old suspect has been abusing since 2017 and the victim was 11 years old at the time. The man “took advantage of moments alone with this man to commit abuse,” the Leiria Judicial Police (PJ) said in a statement.

It was only in September that the authorities became aware of the crimes committed following the reports of the sexual aggressor to the victims “which provoked panic attacks when they shared such events with a close-knit family with whom the victim was on vacation, who in turn informed this IP”, can be read in the application.
