The GNR dismantled a greenhouse with 110 cannabis plants in a forest located in the Grandola district of Setúbal without knowing who was responsible for the plantation, a source from the security forces said on Thursday.
A statement from the Territorial Command of Setúbal GNR indicated that soldiers from the Territorial Post of Grandola da Guarda arrived on Wednesday after complaining about the existence of a drug plantation.
The military “confirmed the existence of a greenhouse with 110 cannabis plants,” GNR said, citing the drug was seized and the greenhouse dismantled.
Contacting the Lusa agency, a GNR source from Grandola said that this took place in an outdoor greenhouse and that it was in a forested area.
The same source indicated that there were no detainees after this intervention by the guards, since no one was in the area when the military arrived.
In addition to 110 cannabis plants, a battery, a solar panel and several electrical cables were seized, according to the GNR.
The facts were referred to the Grandola Judicial Court.
