The Michelin staff ends today the vote on the latest proposal for the company’s agreement

The management of the Vitoria-Gasteiz factory gave a period of 72 hours to receive a response, so the workers began to vote on the proposal this Wednesday night; The referendum will end at 1:00 p.m. this Friday.

Voting ends this Friday to accept or reject the agreement offer carried out by the management of the Michelin Vitoria factory, the group’s largest plant in Spain with 3500 workers and workers.

This management proposal to union representatives includes a bonus of 1500 euros for all active workers and a guarantee of increasing purchasing power in two percentage points based on the average evolution of the CPI. The company gave a within 72 hours to answer, from Wednesday until today.

To consult the template, the CCOO and UGT unions They called a referendum, with a simple question: yes or no to the signing of the agreement.

Voting is taking place at the factory’s safety school, in five time windows, to adapt to production shifts. The last shift has started at 08:00 today, and It will end at 1:00 p.m..

Some minority unions, such as ELA, have already announced that they reject the offer of the Michelin management and have opted to maintain the strikes already called in the Basque plants on June 19 and 23. Besides, ELA has called to vote ‘no’ in the referendum.
