The Euribor moderates its rise in November, closing at 2.829%

This represents an increase of 0.2 points compared to the October figure. Meanwhile, home mortgages grew by 4%, in their best September since 2010.

The euribor at 12 months has continued to rise in November 2022closing with a average level of 2.829%which means a 0.2 point increase compared to the figure for October, although it has moderate your progress.

In October, this index to which most variable rate mortgages in the Spanish State are referenced stood at 2.629%, which meant an increase of 0.393 points. However, between January and November, the Euribor has already accumulated a rise of 3.3 points, and remains at its highest since December 2008, when it closed at 3.452%.

If the monthly closing at 2.8% is confirmed, a person who has contracted a 30-year variable mortgage of 150,000 euros and with a differential of 0.99% plus Euribor will suffer an increase in their mortgage payment of around 251 euros ; that is, they would go from paying 448 euros per month to paying 700 euros after the review, which is equivalent to an increase of 3,000 euros per year.

Home mortgage firm rises 4%

In parallel, the mortgage firm to buy a home chained its nineteenth consecutive year-on-year rise in September, of 4%, with 44,119 loans, in his best record for that month since 2010according to the data published this Wednesday by the National Institute of Statistics (INE).
