“Heartbeat stopped while we were hugging him”: a five-year-old boy died after swallowing a pushpin

A five-year-old boy died last October after swallowing a safety pin in South Yorkshire, England. On Saturday, the family made an emotional post on social media.

Kyle Lewis was taken to the hospital, where he suffered several seizures and a sharp increase in body temperature, according to a British newspaper. daily mail🇧🇷 The boy was subjected to several tests that showed that 90 to 95% of his brain was damaged after he swallowed a pin.

Kyle died after three days of fighting when his parents hugged him and said goodbye. “His heartbeat stopped when we hugged him,” the family wrote in a joint message.

Emma Lewis, Kyle’s mother, said doctors kept the boy on life support so the family could say goodbye.
