Luis Aleluia’s two sons left farewell messages to their father on social media this Saturday. João and José Aleluia, aged 17 and 20 respectively, highlighted the love Portugal had for the comedian and thanked him for all the memories he shared with his father.
“Dad, I love you (…) From now on, I will be the best person in the world because I know that you want me to follow in your footsteps,” Joao wrote on Instagram. “It is at this time that you see who loves you, and half the world loves you, dad,” he concluded.
“Today is the worst day of my life, but I know that you are calm. I will use everything you taught me to become a better person,” you can read in Jose’s post.
Luis Aleluia, best known for his interpretation of “Menino Tonecas”, was found dead at home this Friday. He was 63 years old.
There were several figures, both in the field of culture and in politics, who expressed their condolences to the actor’s family.
The Casa do Artista, where Luis Aleluia was a board member, issued a statement saying that “the art world was poorer and in mourning.”
In addition to the role of Menino Tonecas, Luis Aleluya has participated in several soap operas on Portuguese television and has given life to other theater characters.
