French Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin announced this Thursday that 40,000 police officers will be mobilized to the streets due to the high likelihood of more clashes in the country after the death of a 17-year-old.

“The state must be firm in its response, 40,000 police officers will be mobilized tonight, including 5,000 in the Paris region,” said Darmanin, quoted by the publication. BFMTV.
