The yellow line stations of Metropolitano de Lisboa and Telheiras and Campo Grande on the green line will close on Friday at 21:00 to complete network expansion work, the company said.
“In order to ensure the integration of the ongoing works into the working network, it will be necessary to close the entire yellow line, as well as Telheiras and Campo Grande stations on the green line from 21:00 (time of departure of the last train from each terminal station) during the day of July 7,” it says. in a statement from the Metropolitano de Lisboa.
On Saturday Telheiras station (green line) will be reopened and the yellow line will once again be able to travel between Campo Grande and Cidade Universitária stations.
The Yellow Line between Odivelas and Rato will again be operated by six-car trains, while the Green Line was restored to six-car trains on 12 June.
It is planned to open in 2024 a new ring line that will connect the Rato station with Cais do Sodre, with a length of more than two kilometers of the network, creating a ring in the center of Lisbon and interfaces that combine and integrate different modes of transport.
Metropolitano de Lisboa operates daily on four lines: yellow (Rato Odivelas), green (Telleiras-Cais do Sodre), blue (Reboleira-Santa Apolonia) and red (San Sebastian Airport).
The metro usually runs from 06:30 to 01:00.
