A 48-year-old man was arrested this Thursday by the GNR de Oliveira de Bairro after police pursued a car identified as stolen.
The patrol noticed the car in motion around 22:00 in Oia, Oliveira do Bairo. Oliveira do Bairro GNR was able to intercept the car and detain the driver.
In addition to the suspicion of theft, the authorities checked for a warrant for the arrest of the man with a view to taking him to prison to serve his sentence. The detainee also did not have a driver’s license.
Following these steps, the driver was taken by GNR to Aveiro prison.
The detainee is also involved in crimes related to theft in commercial establishments, draining fuel at gas stations without payment, theft of livestock, kidnapping, robbery and the transport of counterfeit currency, and domestic violence.
