From June 11 to July 12, Operation White Sea III was carried out, during which 779 ships were tracked, 79 searches and inspections were carried out, and 8 cocaine was seized, according to a statement released this Friday by the National Directorate of the Joint Venture. did.
The operation was focused on the various “modes of action” that criminal organizations use to deliver drugs to Europe, and focused on the movement of ships in certain places on the Atlantic coast of the European continent, in the English Channel, in the North Sea, as well as in activities, carried out in some seaports.
This operation was included in one of the action plans of the European Multidisciplinary Platform against Criminal Threats (EMPCAT) of the European Union and attracted the participation of the authorities of Germany, Belgium, Denmark, Spain, France, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Poland. and the United Kingdom.
It was carried out jointly and with the support of Frontex, Europol and the Lisbon-based Naval Analysis and Operations Center for Narcotics (MAOC-N), the JV said in a statement, which operated through the National Anti-Drug Trafficking Unit.
