Rodrigo Zalazar, Uruguay midfielder, was introduced this Friday as a reinforcement of Sp. Braga. He moved from Schalke 04, playing in the German league, and signed a contract for five seasons. For a 23-year-old player (on August 12 he will turn 24) Sp. Braga pays 5 million euros. An amount that makes him the third most expensive player in the club’s history behind Alan Ruiz (€8m) and Bruma (€6.5m). You are protected by a contract termination clause in the amount of 50 million euros.
“I am a player with a big heart who also passes on to my teammates the aggressiveness and competitiveness that characterize South American players. I consider myself a player who likes to have the ball with a good last pass,” said the Sp. Braga, also emphasizing the dream of “playing in the Champions League”.
He was recently called up by Marcelo Bielsa for Uruguay on 15 June and ended up having a dream debut when he scored two goals in a 4-1 win against Nicaragua.
