On the social network twitter, Carlos Moedas celebrated the start of the holiday season. “Christmas in Lisbon! There is light in the city again. Shortened working hours this year to guarantee a 50 percent savings in energy consumption,” he wrote.
Christmas lighting hours will be reduced to provide a 50% energy savings compared to last year. The city will be illuminated from 18:00 to 23:00 from Sunday to Thursday and from 18:00 to 00:00 on Fridays and Saturdays until January 6th.
