On Monday, an explosion occurred at an optical-mechanical plant in the Russian city of Sergiev Posad, located 50 kilometers northeast of Moscow. At least 45 wounded were registered.
According to Reuters, citing the TASS agency, the Zagorsk plant produces optical and electronic devices, one of the customers of which is the Russian security forces. However, the emergency services of this country do not suspect that the explosion was caused by a Ukrainian drone strike.
Of the injured, 23 were hospitalized.
The explosion occurred in a warehouse with pyrotechnic materials.
A complete evacuation of the building has been announced.
