A jury in the Brazilian state of Santa Catarina in the south of the country has sentenced a man to 329 years and four months in prison for breaking into a kindergarten in the state’s hinterland city of Saudades in May 2021. and killed five people. Following the jury’s decision, Judge Kayo Lemgruber Taborda found Fabiano guilty of five qualified murders and 14 attempted murders. These attempts allude to the children and bystanders who locked themselves in a room in the nursery and where the killer tried to break in but failed.
