Aerial photographs show the destruction caused by a fire that broke out in the municipality of Odemira. Near the national road 120 burned all around the inactive gas station on the road connecting Odeceixe with Aljezur. Along the way, several houses narrowly escaped the fire. Others were injured.
The fire started at a picnic spot in the San Miguel area. A black scene, with trees being devoured by fire, and a long trail of destruction leaving the epicenter of this flame. It was there that the judicial police took steps to investigate the causes of this huge fire. The goal is to determine if it was negligence or if it was arson.
The fire even threatened some of the houses and endangered Odeseisha.
Burned more than eight thousand hectares within a perimeter of 50 km. Teima, a rural residential building in Odemir, was badly damaged. The owners are outraged. Calls for help are said to have been ignored by the authorities.
