On the side of Brentford, who finished ninth last season (Tottenham were eighth), Cameroonian Mbeumo in the 26th minute from a penalty kick and Congolese Wissa in the 36th minute scored home goals.
Chelsea will host Liverpool later today, followed by a full opening day of the Premier League with Manchester United vs Wolves on Monday.
