Sp. Braga already knows the opponent in the Champions League playoffs

SP Braga will play Panathinaikos in the Champions League playoffs in two games. The Greeks secured their presence on the stage after beating the French from Marseille on Tuesday evening with penalty kicks.

Marseille’s 2-1 win in regulation time was not enough to secure a place for the French in the Millionaires League play-offs as they lost the first leg 1-0 in Greece.

The French were even ahead of the draw thanks to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s goals at 2 and 45+1, but Ioannidis’s 90+9 penalty goal gave the Greek team hope and brought the game to a close. Extra time.

In the 110th minute, Portugal’s Vitinha, ex-Braga, scored a goal that brought Marseille the classification, but it was canceled due to offside.

The game was decided on penalties, where Panathinaikos won by scoring five penalties. For Marseille, Matteo Guendouzi missed the first penalty that proved fatal to French aspirations in the competition.
