The GNR is conducting “Operation Artemis” which will monitor hunting for six months. Until February 28, “verification measures to commit corrupt acts, to prevent, identify and suppress situations that do not comply with the norms established by law,” the paramilitary force said in a statement.
GNR reminds that when opening the hunting season in the ordered area, “special attention is needed to the game species, months and daily slaughter limit indicated in the Venatory calendar, Venatory season 2023-2024.”
The operation, run by the Nature and Environment Service, “aims to enforce measures to protect and conserve hunting resources with a view to their sustainable management.” The hunting calendar, taking into account the existence of different hunting periods depending on the type of hunting, can be found on the website of the ICNF – Institute for Conservation of Nature and Forests.
