The National Republican Guard (GNR) arrested a 38-year-old man this Sunday for attempting to steal a wallet and steal a car in Braga.
According to the GNR statement, the guardsmen were called to support the patrol, which found itself in a situation of disrespect for the restaurant caused by the detainee. Upon arrival, they noticed that the suspect had already fled the scene and caused damage to the establishment. During the operation, the military received a request for help from a married couple who were the victims of an attempted purse theft and car theft by a suspect.
This man, who has a criminal record for theft and drug trafficking, already had an arrest warrant at the Braga police station.
The 38-year-old detainee will be present this Monday at the Judicial Court of Braga for coercive measures to be taken against him.
