The Spanish police seized about nine and a half tons of cocaine. the largest seizure in the history of the country. The cocaine was destined for Portugal and then distributed throughout Europe.
From Ecuador they crossed the Atlantic Ocean and arrived in southern Spain. The goods hidden in the banana boxes belonged to more than 30 European mafias.
This Wednesday, a container was left in the port of Algeciras, inside of which were more than 30 different logos corresponding to various European criminal organizations that were going to get the drug.
The Spanish authorities have prevented the importation of almost 10 tons of cocaine into Europe. One of the main drug trafficking routes was eventually eliminated.
The criminal group in question moved over 40 containers a month and the procedure was always the same.
The organization had an extensive drug trafficking network in Spain, mainly to the ports of Algeciras and Vigo.
There are no reports of any arrests yet.
