The IPMA has also placed over 90 municipalities in the districts of Braga, Vila Real, Bragança, Viseu, Porto, Aveiro, Coimbra, Leiria, Santarém, Lisbon, Guarda, Castelo Branco, Portalegre, Beja and Faro at very high risk.
This Tuesday, other municipalities in all districts of the mainland face a high risk of fire.
Due to weather conditions, the risk of fire in some municipalities will continue until at least Saturday.
This risk, defined by IPMA, has five levels, from low to high. Calculations are based on air temperature, relative humidity, wind speed and rainfall over the last 24 hours.
IPMA: Partly cloudy or clear skies, with periods of more cloudiness until early morning. This overcast can persist throughout the day in the inland north, with strong winds on the west coast and highlands.
The minimum temperature will range from 10 degrees Celsius (in Bragança) to 21 degrees (in Faro), and the maximum – from 23 (in Aveiro) to 35 (in Faro).
