The Portuguese team travels and trains this Thursday in Bratislava, which will be the last session before Friday’s match against Slovakia on the fifth round of Group J of the UEFA Euro 2024 qualifying round.
The Portuguese delegation will arrive in the Slovak capital at 11:00 am and have a scheduled meeting at 6:30 pm local time (5:30 pm in Lisbon) at the National Stadium, the Friday meeting phase, with the first 15 minutes open to the media.
On Wednesday, midfielder Ruben Neves worked limited and separate from the rest of the team due to myalgia, with the remaining 23 players available to coach Roberto Martinez.
Before training, at 17:45 (16:45 in Lisbon), also at the National Stadium, Robert Martinez and an unnamed player will hold a press conference dedicated to the duel with Slovakia.
The meeting is scheduled for 20:45 (19:45 in Lisbon) and will be hosted by Swede Glenn Nyberg.
Three days later, on Monday, Portugal hosts Luxembourg in the Algarve.
After four rounds, the team leads Group J with 12 points, adding only wins, ahead of second-place Slovakia with 10 and Luxembourg, third, with seven. Bosnia-Herzegovina and Iceland each have three points, while Liechtenstein remains at zero.
The first two places in the group give direct access to the final phase of the European Championship, which will be held next year in Germany.
