The Setubal Judicial Police are investigating a rape complaint filed by a 14-year-old girl who suspected she was drugged and sexually assaulted at the Harvest Festival in Palmela early Monday morning. However, it found cmHowever, the first data collected by the investigation – preliminary examinations and the collection of testimony – do not yet indicate a rape scenario. Similarly, there is still no evidence to indict and present to the judge the group of suspects identified by the NDP who have been identified but not arrested.
The victim’s complaints indicated that she was drugged prior to the rape. However, at the moment, the investigation indicates the use of alcohol and the fact that as a result the minor felt ill, which could be confused with the addition of a drug to the drink. It has already been established that the victim’s initial contact with the suspects took place on the territory of the party, but the situation that gave rise to the complaint took place outside, in close proximity.
This year, the Harvest Festivals have become the scene of several situations of aggression, including the use of edged weapons.
