On September 19, Chega wants to see a debate on the motion of no confidence in the government, which will be tabled in parliament on Friday.
The party’s president, André Ventura, said this Friday that the goal is to “give political arguments to the President of the Republic” for the possible resignation of the executive “after the European elections.”
The proposal focuses on the party’s four main issues, such as divisions in the executive branch, health problems, the housing crisis and court cases, including those involving the Ministry of Defense and former Secretary of State Marco Capitan Ferreira.
Ventura said he also hoped for support from the left and that “different leadership” in the parties would allow the vote of no confidence to be strengthened.
