The man who left his mother to die during a fire in Porto admitted to the crime in court

A man who killed his mother in a fire in Porto in November 2022 admitted to the crime at his trial on Tuesday afternoon.

Bruno Rodrigues, 37, assured a group of judges at the Sant Joan Novo court in Porto that he regretted what he had done and that he would not do the same thing again today.

The man had previously suffered domestic violence against his mother, who had filed a complaint against her son with the Public Security Police 46 days prior to this incident.
