A 16-year-old boy kills his sister and sleeps with her body for three days. The victim is buried near the house

The father, with whom they shared a small annex a few meters from the sea in Peniche, spent the night in local cafes. Despite his health problems and alcoholism, Jorge Pereira found it strange not to see his eldest daughter, but he accepted the younger one’s explanation.

“He went to Lisbon to meet his boyfriend.” And only four days later he went to the State People’s Republic to report Lara’s disappearance. Judicial police investigated the case and solved the mystery on Wednesday evening. Lara was killed by her sister via mobile phone and buried in a vacant lot behind the house.

Contrary to what she said, the sister never left Peniche, as evidenced by the location of her mobile phone while it was charged. The reagent showed that he used bleach to purify the blood. And in the end he confessed. He killed his older sister with three stab wounds and hid the corpse under one of the beds where they slept. She then led inspectors to the body and was arrested.

It took three days to dig a hole to fit the corpse and a wheelbarrow to move it from the house to the makeshift grave. He managed to do this without his father and neighbors noticing.

Jorge Pereira, the father, went missing on Thursday. He has already suffered three strokes, the last two weeks ago. She cried as she looked at the hole in the sand where her daughter was buried. “They were always messing around, but I don’t know why she did it,” he explains with difficulty. He has no idea about the seriousness of what happened to his daughters – one died, the other will be tried as an adult. And he says he doesn’t know anything about Discord’s cell phone.

It was a ticking time bomb, and I was going to start seeing a psychologist this school year. But we never imagined this. As for the reason that prompted her to kill her sister – the theft of her mobile phone – the teacher assures that this was the most important item for the killer. “It was his only connection with the world. There was nothing more important, it was the Internet and music that made her a person.”

This Friday, at the beginning of the school year, the school psychologist will talk with the girl’s colleagues. The idea will be to accompany them so that they too can process what happened. “We are broken. We feel like we failed, but we never imagined this outcome. We never thought her world would be this dark.”

CRIME NO MORE SUSPECTS
According to the director of the Judicial Police of Leiria, although the investigation has not yet been completed, “all the evidence collected indicates that no other persons were involved in the death of the young woman.” Avelino Lima also added that “the presence of the father did not prevent the body from remaining at home.”
