Autoeuropa will resume production in early October after securing supplies of key parts for the T-Roc from Spanish and Chinese companies, Volkswagen’s Palmela plant said on Friday.
In an internal memo to employees accessed by Lusa, Autoeuropa said work by its logistics and purchasing departments had led to the company finding other suppliers for the missing part, forcing the company to announce a production stop from September 11 to November 12.
“Plant management reports that following the interruption of supplies of a key component in the engine designs that power the T-Roc – among other Volkswagen Group models – the group’s logistics and purchasing departments are working intensively to mitigate the impact. this is influence,” Autoeuropa said in an internal message.
