A 35-year-old woman died this afternoon after suffering a work accident when she was driving a tractor with a trailer in an apple orchard in Aduna (Gipuzkoa), which collided with a tree.
As reported by the Security Department of the Basque Government, at around 2:40 p.m. SOS Deiak received a call reporting a work accident in the Goiburu neighborhood, in Aduna.
Firefighters, Ertzaintza and an ambulance have traveled to the scene, but the doctor has only been able to confirm the death of the woman, who apparently was working picking apples. When she was driving a tractor with a trailer, the vehicle slid backwards and hit a tree.
The Ertzaintza has opened an investigation to clarify what happened. Osalan technicians have also traveled to the scene of the accident.
