According to the same note, Walgod stated that “this achievement marks the culmination of a 20-year athletic career.”

“This year I decided to take up solo dance and I had no expectations that I would achieve what I have achieved. “I’m very happy to get here and it means recognition for all the work, every day, everything I’ve put into this sporting career.” and gold. It’s gold on blue. “I am very pleased with this achievement for myself, for my coaches, for the Federation, for my club, for Portugal,” he said.

The European runner-up in Italy is the first Portuguese woman in the history of the sport in Portugal to win gold at the world championships in this discipline in individual competition.

Among the juniors, Diogo Costa became world figure skating champion in the same event after winning the silver medal in Italy.

Portuguese Ernesto Silva took 6th place in the final ranking among adults with 124.09 points.

The World Championships began on Tuesday and will run until September 30, with Portugal’s participation ending on the 28th for the national free skate team.
