Preventive arrest of a man who stole a speaker and attacked a tuk-tuk driver in Lisbon

A 27-year-old man was arrested for a crime of violence following a robbery and a crime of bodily harm. The incident occurred in Lisbon at around 20:50 on September 12, Tuesday last week.

According to the Public Security Police (PSP), the man used force to steal a speaker from a tuk-tuk driver and then assaulted him.

The suspect was also charged with another physical offense for violently striking a passerby with glass, causing his leg to be injured. The victim required medical attention.

The man attended his first judicial interrogation and was subjected to a compulsory measure of restraint.
