Coach Alvaro Pacheco has left the technical team of Estoril Praia, a day after the club drew 2-2 at home with Visela, the penultimate team of the Portuguese Football League announced this Sunday.
“We inform our partners and fans that Estoril Praia – Futebol, SAD and coach Alvaro Pacheco, as well as his technical team, have reached an agreement to terminate their employment contract,” reads Canarinhos’ official website on the Internet.
Alvaro Pacheco, 52, started the season at Estoril Praia after four seasons at Visel, whom he led from the Portuguese championship to the first division with just one win in the first league of the 2023/24 season against Rio Ave (2- 0), in the second round.
Three defeats in a row and a draw with Vizelenses followed, leaving Estoril Praia in 17th and penultimate place in the championship.
“The new coach will be presented in the next few days to achieve all our goals,” concludes Estoril Praia.
