Bruno Fernandes was a double hero on Saturday night. Having scored Manchester United’s winning goal against Burnley, the Portuguese international was heading home when he came to the aid of Marcus Rashford, who had been involved in a road accident after the game.
According to The Sun, the collision occurred as the England international was leaving Carrington, the Red Devils’ training centre, where the team had returned by bus after an away game.
The Rolls Royce, worth around €800,000, in which the striker was traveling was visibly damaged and, as he drove past, the 29-year-old Portuguese “urgently stopped to offer assistance” to his teammate. Despite the damage to the car, the 25-year-old did not suffer any injuries and was simply “shocked”.
