67-year-old actor Francisco Bras died this Friday at his home in Alcoutim, a friend of the actor told Lusa.
The actor died due to heart problems for which he was recently hospitalized, the same source added.
Francisco Bras was born on November 25, 1955 in Alcutima, Faro district. He founded the Crinabel Special Education Cooperative Theater Group and returned to his homeland during the pandemic, where he sought a quieter life by devoting himself to farming. from his garden, his friend recalled.
In the Algarve he founded and directed an amateur theater group at the Center for Culture and Sports of the City Council of Castro Marim.
The soap opera “Nazaré” and the series “Ministry of Tempo” were some of his last works on television, and he was also part of the cast of the productions “Vila Faya” and “Mala de Cartao”.
“The Bride” (2000), “Lagardère: Mask of Vengeance” (2003) and “The Fragile Sound of My Engine” (2012) are films in which he participated.
Francisco Bras specialized in theater studies at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Lisbon and took a course in television journalism at Cenjor – the Center for the Training of Journalists, according to his biography in the database of the Center for Theater Studies (CET) at the Faculty of Arts.
