The death of the son of a former Porto footballer has caused a wave of grief

The death of young Francisco Queta – son of former FC Porto footballer Ali Queta, who drowned in the Douro River, near Areinho beach, in Gaia, at the age of 14, on Saturday – caused a wave of grief this Sunday. The parents’ association Escola Básica e Secundária Rodrigues de Freitas in Porto laments: “It is always very painful to say goodbye to a loved one! May God comfort the hearts of all who have had the pleasure of knowing you!”

The number of thanks has increased on social networks. “It’s very sad to realize that you had your whole life ahead of you and that in one minute it’s all over. There were so many dreams to be achieved and lives to be lived along the way! Rest in peace, my boy! – a friend wrote. “Life is so unfair. May your soul rest in peace, my boy,” said the man in charge of Sporting da Cruz.
