Jorge Jesus’ Al Hilal won his first triumph in the “Champions of Asia” tournament

The Saudis Al-Hilal, coached by Portuguese Jorge Jesus, beat the Iranians Nassaji Mazandaran (3:0) on Tuesday in the second round of Group D of the Asian Champions League.

At Tehran’s Azadi Stadium, Serbia’s Mitrovic opened the scoring in the 18th minute before Husgmand (38) was sent off for the Iranian team, as was Al-Faraj, but for the Saudis, on 38.

In the second half, with both teams reduced to 10 men, Brazilian Neymar extended the lead in the 58th minute with his first goal for Saudi Arabia, while Al Shehri (90+3) recorded the final result.

With the win, Al Hilal now top the group with four points, as do second-placed Navbahor of Uzbekistan, while third-place Nassaji Mazandaran has three and Mumbai City remain in last place without points.
