This Tuesday afternoon, at 15:00, Fernando Medina will present the draft state budget for 2024 at a press conference that will take place in the main hall of the Ministry of Finance in Lisbon.
Also participating in this press conference are the Secretaries of State for Budget, Fiscal Affairs, Finance and Treasury, as can be read in the same note.
The Extraordinary Council of Ministers approved the OE2024 proposal on Saturday, after the government was in parliament on Friday to present its general guidelines to the parties.
Also on Saturday, Prime Minister António Costa signed with the social partners, with the exception of the CGTP and CIP, the strengthening of the Medium-Term Agreement to increase incomes, wages and competitiveness, which, in particular, increases the value of the national minimum wage for the next year to 820 euros.
The OE2024 discussion as a whole is scheduled for October 30th and 31st.
The specialty discussions, where both articles of the OE2024 proposal and all proposals for amendments and additions submitted by the parties are discussed and voted on, will take place from November 23 to 29 and will conclude with a final global vote on the document.
