The man who was wounded on Tuesday after a shootout between PSP agents and a group of four criminal suspects who were driving a car in Porto will be placed in preventive detention, a police source told Lusa this Thursday.
The shooting killed one of the men in the car, and a wounded comrade was being treated at a San Juan hospital with arm injuries, the source added.
According to him, after being discharged from the hospital, “he was heard in the criminal court of Porto,” which decided on preventive detention.
A source from the PSP Porto capital command said the shooting took place late on Tuesday in the Campanha area.
Four suspects, two men and two women, were traveling in a vehicle when it collided with the vehicle the agents were traveling in.
The collision resulted in a shootout, which resulted in the death of one of the suspects, a Porto PSP source explained.
Both women were also detained.
Four people are suspected of crimes, the same source emphasized, without specifying which ones.
The case was transferred to the judicial police, who are now investigating the incident.
