Rosario Central, the Argentine club where Di Maria trained and where he left in 2007 for Benfica (as a senior), wants to release the player as soon as possible so that he can finish his career where he started.
This was announced by Federico Lussenhoff, sports director of the emblem of the country of Pampas. “We are preparing the club so that the representative of our establishment will again feel comfortable at home, with the opportunity to play,” said the director of radio Cadena 3 Rosario.
Lussenhoff also assured that Di Maria’s words when he returned to Luz (he played at the club of his love) did not go down well with the Rosario fans. But they are willing to forget about it to see him return.
Di Maria is 35 years old and has a contract with Benfica until the end of this season. Club president Rui Costa has already stated that he would like to renew the striker.
