The Judicial Police arrested a 38-year-old man for setting fire to cars in a car showroom this Saturday in São Tomé de Negrelo, Santo Tirso.
According to the SP statement, the suspect spilled a flammable product on the vehicles and set them on fire due to conflicts that arose while driving another vehicle.
The action “resulted in the total destruction of four vehicles, causing damage to two others and endangering a dozen more vehicles displayed at the location.”
The arrest of the man, which occurred outside the act of committing a crime, occurred with the assistance of the National Republican Guard (NRG).
The same note also states that the man had no criminal record and that he will be brought before the judicial authority “for the first judicial examination and the application of such coercive measures as it deems appropriate.”
