From the second to the third quarter of this year, GDP has grown by 0.2% and employment has increased by 0.4%.
He Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the Basque Autonomous Community (CAV) has increased by 1.6% in the third quarter of 2023, compared to the same quarter of the previous year, according to the estimates of the Advance Quarterly Accounts carried out by Eustat. He employmentmeasured as full-time equivalent jobs, has also grown 1.6% year-on-year.
Compared to the second quarter of 2023, GDP has grown by 0.2% and employment by 0.4%, respectively. Its about ninth consecutive quarter with quarterly growth in employment.
Eustat points to “an uneven behavior of activity in the main sectors of the BAC economy”, although overall the evolution remains “positive”.
