Singer Ivo Lucas, accused of negligent homicide against Sara Carreira, will have to appear in court to be heard.
The magistrate accepted 33-year-old Ivo Lucas’ request to answer court questions via video conference, indicating the actor and singer does not want to meet with the victim’s family. But, as reported by CMTV, sources involved in the process have learned that the singer will have to appear in court during the trial.
Ivo Lucas and Paulo Neves are responsible for gross negligence murder and face penalties of five years in prison.
Fado singer Cristina Branco is accused of manslaughter and sentenced to up to three years in prison.
The fourth defendant, Thiago Pacheco, is accused of dangerous driving and may be forced to pay a fine.
