The family of Tanya Pinto, a pregnant woman who carried her dead daughter in her belly for days, says the baby had serious facial malformations that were never discovered. Regarding the situation, the Beatrice Angelo Hospital in Loures has not yet commented on the situation and only claims that it is following the prescribed procedures.
While mourning the child’s death, the family was further shocked when they realized the alleged deformity on the girl’s face. The fetus was removed late Friday.
The family, who still had the opportunity to see the baby, ensured that throughout the eight months of pregnancy and at various ultrasounds to monitor the pregnancy, the medical teams always informed them that the baby was healthy and that she did not present any morphological problem.
The excited father of the girl assures CM Once the baby’s body was shown to the family, the question of whether the malformation could have caused death was immediately raised with the clinical team. The answer to the question can only be given by an autopsy, which will be performed on the child’s body.
