The northern entrance to the A24 and Estrada Nacional 2 (EN2) motorway in Custian, in the municipality of Castro Daire, has been reopened to traffic after being closed due to an accident, a GNR source said this Saturday.
“Both EN2 in Cusquillana and the northern entrance from Castro Daire to the A24 motorway were reopened to traffic at 21:15,” the same GNR source told Lusa.
The northern entrance to Castro Daire in Custillana towards Lamego-Viseu and EN2 at the same location was closed to traffic from 19:16 after an open-bed truck crashed and occupied the entire road.
Lusa GNR reported at the time that traffic on EN2 had been diverted onto the motorway and when entering the A24, vehicles had to use the southern entrance in the municipality of Castro Daire, in Viseu district.
According to the Viseu-Dau-Lafoynes subregional command for emergencies and civil protection, the open-top car accident “caused minor injuries to the driver.”
The alarm was raised at 7:16 p.m., and seven first responders were on the scene, supported by three vehicles from the Castro Daire Volunteer Fire Department and the PNP, the same source said.
