Portuguese rider Miguel Oliveira (Aprilia) was forced to withdraw from this Sunday’s MotoGP Thai Grand Prix, the 17th of 20 races of the season, due to technical problems with his bike.
The Almada driver, who started from 20th on the grid, regained two positions on the first lap and moved up to 17th on the second.
However, on the seventh lap Oliveira began to lose time and dropped to 21st and final place, receiving a black flag that forced the riders to abandon the race due to technical problems with his bike not complying with regulations.
In the Thai Grand Prix sprint race, which the Portuguese won last year, Oliveira was hit by two rivals, causing one of the left wings of his Aprilia to break.
